HOMESERVE OFFERS CP12 AND BOILER SERVICE FOR HALF THE PRICE OF RIVALS

D7th March 2013: With spring approaching, HomeServe is set to take the pain out of costly but essential boiler maintenance for the country’s financially-pressured Landlord Knowledges.

Until 9am on 2nd April, HomeServe will be offering landlords an annual gas safety check (CP12) for just £36 per property in the first year – or just £3 a month – compared to an industry standard of £75.

All residential properties are required to have a CP12 every year, and for landlords with sizeable portfolios, the cost – and complication – can escalate rapidly.

HomeServe’s offering also includes an additional boiler service, which could save landlords hundreds of pounds – not to mention some serious headaches – by identifying potential problems with tenants’ boilers before they go wrong.

The spring sale includes a range of home emergency cover related products in a 12 for the price of 10 offer, starting from only £71.46 a year. These offer landlords protection against a range of household problems, from burst pipes to faulty electricals to pest infestations, and allow tenants to call out help directly, taking all the hassle out of home emergencies.

• Check standing and working pressure if test points available

• Check burner pressure/gas rate against manufacturers’ data plate

• Test flue flow to ensure removal of products of combustion

• Check for physical stability, presence and effectiveness of brackets (where appropriate)

• Investigate any evidence of unsafe operation and report to the Landlord

HomeServe will contact landlords to arrange a gas safety inspection when it is due, using local, HomeServe-approval engineers, all of whom are Gas Safe registered and carry ID. The final gas safety record is issued to the landlord.
